Andrew Polanco
GG-12 IT Specialist // Game Developer // Track Coach
Andrew's experiences at Shawnee State taught him to pursue service and community for everything he does, whether caring for younger students as a Resident Assistant at Campus View, leading the senior capstone for the Digital Simulation & Game Engineering program, and above all, captaining the cross-country team to victory as conference champions his senior year.
In his career, Andrew has relied on both the technical prowess and leadership experiences gained while pursuing a dual major in Digital Simulation & Gaming and Computer Engineering, and later while earning a Masters in Cybersecurity at Johns Hopkins University.
Andrew continues to carry a deep sense of service and community, which was instilled during his time at Shawnee, leading him to become a civil servant for the United States Air Force.
Recently to reunify with his significant other, Andrew took on a new role supporting a contract for the United States Army.
